I was definitely like a kid at the candy store as I walked into Missguided’s first ever brick and mortar store in Westfield Stratford.
It’s one thing appreciating a good store online, ready at hand whenever you’re in need of any sort of fashion fix. But to see it come to life in its physical state is kinda magical to me.
I walk in and BAM! Massive pink truck right at the front and the atmosphere is buzzing to say the least. The interior is nothing short of sass and kick ass décor and of course, the rails upon rails of clothing heaven were just so tempting that within the first ten minutes, I already had a couple of items in my arms.
There is something so refreshing seeing online stores go brick and mortar, as often it’s the other way around first. I wonder if this is going to start a chain reaction for other major online retailers such as ASOS and Boohoo perhaps? When it comes to shopping I am a little bit old-fashion in that I still prefer to go into stores and try things on before making a purchase. But on the flipside, online shopping is great for convenience. Retailers have significantly improved their refund and exchange operations over the years so it’s now easier more than ever to buy something online and have the ease of returning items if something’s not quite right.
But in this instance, with Missguided going brick and mortar in addition to their online presence – we’re given the best of both worlds, so hey who’s to say no to that? Everybody wins.
