Food is life for me so whenever I discover little gems around London that serve great food, you all know that I’ll be all over it. The Folly in London near Embankment was a such a lovely spot for a few rounds of refreshing drinks and lots of good food.
The garden inspired restaurant is located in the heart of London, near Monument station. The interior of the restaurant is lined with trees inside with fur throws over their dining chairs. The pillars also have inspirational quotes painted over them which gives off a really cool and cosy vibe, great for catching up with friends and family.
Needless to say, the food hit us right on the spot. It was deee-li-cious! I went for the wagyu burger with blue cheese and tomato chutney served with a side of chips. Chengri-la went for a sirloin steak served with chips and watercress while Oh Hello Ellen enjoyed her halloumi burger which has hummus, red pepper & flat mushroom inside. My gal Richa on the other had a pea & lemon risotto. We walked into this restaurant in our hungry bear modes but best believe we came out feeling super full with our happy bellies. Mission accomplished!
In terms of their food offerings in general, there is a wide range to pick from. They have flatbread and sharing board options for those who want a few nibbles to go with a glass or four of some well-deserved bubbly; there is also a choice of classic mains such as fish & chips, bangers & mash and half roast chicken. For veggie lovers there is a nice selection of salads to pick from as well like the quinoa bowl served with feta cheese, tomato & toasted almonds.
We definitely enjoyed our experience here at The Folly. Food was delicious, customer experience was great and the ambience was lovely. We’ll come back again for sure!
